If there’s anything Filipinos can agree on when it comes to food, it is this: Japanese food is GREAT. We all love it! There’s ramen, katsus, rice bowls, takoyaki, and of course, who can forget the maki and sashimi?
Maki and sashimi are absolute Japanese food staples, and you just can’t go wrong with these two options if you’re craving Japanese. If I could have maki and sashimi every single day, I would! The only problem is they’re not always the most affordable. At least that’s what I thought!
Thankfully, we’ve discovered a brand that serves quality maki and sashimi favorites at an affordable price that everyone can enjoy. Folks, meet Kimsea Mixx!
Kimsea Mixx is a sushi bar where you can get an assortment of your favorite maki and sashimi for an affordable price. Just take a look at that delicious variety! We got classic California Maki (you can never go wrong with a calimaki) and two varieties of the crabstick maki.
Kimsea Mixx serves their maki and sashimi in bilaos—yes, you can get them in big batches—making it absolutely perfect for meetings, events, get-togethers, and parties.

They sell maki bilaos starting at 36 pieces for Php320, and up to 150 pieces of assorted maki at Php1,060 which is approximately 8 pesos a piece. You can also get 450 grams of salmon sashimi for Php 650, a combined 300 grams of salmon and 200 grams of tuna sashimi for Php575, 300 grams of tuna and 200 grams of salmon for Php 550, and 500 grams of uni sashimi (sea urchin) for Php 480.
Compared to dining at a Japanese restaurant and paying 200 bucks for a few pieces of maki, you’ve got to agree, these prices are very good and affordable.
