The MRT-3 Is (Finally) Getting New Air-conditioning Units

Here’s a little piece of happy news for the everyday-commuter: our MRT-Line 3 has now been upgraded with brand-new air conditioning units.

The Metro Rail Transit (MRT) management recently announced via Facebook post the installation of 33 air-conditioning units bought by Sumitomo-MHI-TESP. And they promised, with this upgrade “mas magiging chill na ang biyahe.”

This addition of air-conditioning units is part of a long-term upgrade to the MRT3. It is currently only in its fourth month, having started in August.

Since then, there has been a total of 120 brand new ACUs worth P167 million acquired for the MRT3.
