Tagisan 2019: Where media meets art

Kaway-kaway, high school students! Tagisan, the UP Broadcasters’ Guild annual workshop and quiz bee on alternative media, is back with the unconventional!

“Tagisan 2019: Likha, Lathala, Laya” follows the footsteps of last year’s installment and is anchored on alternative forms of alternative media. As always, Tagisan aims help students learn about the various forms and functions of media in Philippine society, and this year is no different.

This 2019, it’s all about letting the creative side take over as we champion four core topics: alternative media in the form of Original Pinoy Music (OPM), street theatre, street art, and poetry. Seminar-workshops on each of these four topics will be conducted in the morning while a quiz bee will follow in the afternoon.
