Elai and Boyet finally meet!
Arjo Atayde and Ken Chan took to Instagram to shoot a short clip of their two characters, who both have autism, meeting for the first time ever. In the video, Boyet (played by Ken) and Elai (played by Arjo) share that they know each other and wanted to be each other’s friend. They even shared a friendly hug!

“Finally had the chance to see Ken again. We both missed our characters and thought it would be nice to bring them back to life to meet each other. Much freakin’ respect, Ken!” Arjo wrote in the caption.
Ken also shared the clip on his own Instagram account and said, “Namiss niyo ba si Boyet at Elai? Sa wakas nagkita na rin sila.”
(“Did you miss Boyet and Elai? Finally, they met!”)
He added, “Isang karangalan ang isabuhay ang kwento ng isang tao na may Autism. Masaya kami ni [Arjo] at naging bahagi kami kahit papano ng kanilang buhay. Huwag natin kalimutan na ang tanging kailangan nila ay ang pagmamahal. [Arjo] saludo ako sayo!”
(“It’s an honor to have brought to life the story of a person with autism. Arjo and I are happy to have been a part of their lives somewhat. Let’s not forget that what they truly need is love. I salute you, Arjo!”)

Arjo and Ken have both received praises for their individual portrayal of their characters with autism in their respective shows The General’s Daughter and My Special Tatay.
