A video of a woman shoving a priest off stage has been going viral on the internet.
On Twitter, user Figen shared the following video with the caption, “In Brazil, a priest says “fat women cannot go to heaven!” And then…”

However, though the video is real, the caption may have been “a fabrication,” according to fact-checking site snopes.com.
Thousands who gathered to hear mass last July 14th were shocked when an unidentified woman came rushing towards Fr. Marcelo Rossi and shoved him off the stage. Fr. Rossi was in the middle of preaching to about 50,000 people that day.
According to reports, Rossi is known for his lively Sunday services. After the incident, he went back up on the stage after a few minutes and continued with the service.
According to The Inquirer, as per a report by O Dia, the woman had said that she wanted to talk to the priest but was alarmed when security came after her. Security at the event clarified that they were not, in fact, chasing after her. But she had pushed the priest anyway in a panic. The woman also explained that she has mental health problems. Fr. Rossi did not press any charges.
