It seems like Kyrie Irving really loves watching tv shows when he’s not ballin’. Just a few weeks ago, he dropped a limited edition of his own signature shoes. To a lot of TV buffs’ delight, the new colorway for the Kyrie 5 was inspired by the 90s sitcom Friends as he is known to be an avid fan of the show. It was released just in time for the 15th anniversary of the show’s finale.
This time, a teaser was released by one famous TV network. It hinted that there might be a collaboration between the basketball player and the beloved tv show Spongebob. You can see the Facebook post below.
The post includes 5 photos with the caption “COMING THIS SUMMER ??? Kyrie Irving Nike Basketball” as the caption. The photos contained graphics that are inspired by the show’s characters together with a famous sneaker brand’s logo.
Based on the album posted by the tv network, some people are guessing that there would be 5 colorways in total which are inspired by Spongebob, Sandy, Squidward, Patrick, and Krusty Krab.
As of now, we still don’t have any details about the collection such as the price and release date. We’re excited to see the whole collection when it releases!
