Now celebrating its 25th year anniversary in the Philippines, the party goes on for more than three days with over 4,000 artists in over seven cities and over 55 venues. The crème de la crème of music festivals is just a few weeks away and festival-goers are getting ready for some serious stage-hopping!
Fete de la Musique or World Music Day is an annual free-for-all event. The first ever music festival took place on a summer solstice in Paris on June 21, 1982. Since then, it has been an international musical event that celebrates music in more than 120 countries every year.
This year’s 25th Edition of Fete de la Musique is organized by Alliance Française de Manille together with B-Side Productions and the Embassy of France to the Philippines, co-presented by Globe Telecom and San Miguel Pale Pilsen.
They have arranged an exceptional musical event for you starting this year’s celebration on June 8 with a pop-up show for the children of the Virlanie Foundation in Makati City then capping off the festivity with a closing party on June 29 at 20:20, La Fuerza Plaza 1 Chino Roces Ave, Makati.
The surprises don’t end there, either. Get this: Fete de la Musique fans will get a chance to win round-trip tickets to France! Just share a 25-second video of your favorite Fete de la Musique memories using #FeteStories on social media.
I can already feel the spirit of Fete de la Musique brewing! It is charged with electricity as both musical artists and the listening crowd feed off from each other’s energy.
