Julia Barretto is going to star in Black Sheep’s next movie

Julia Barretto might be having the time of her life in her South American vacation, but that doesn’t mean her career is taking any breaks. She recently announced on her Twitter account that she would be headlining the next movie from Black Sheep studio. She is the only cast member to have been revealed so far.

Black Sheep is, of course, the studio that brought to us movies like Exes Baggage, and the new LizQuen hit, Alone/Together. While no further details have been announced, fans have been speculating (and hoping) for another classic romance movie. The studio did tease that another significant cast member would be revealed later on, so that bodes well for a duo-centered narrative.

It was also announced that Jason Paul Laxamana will be leading the project as director. Laxamana previously directed To Love Some Buddy (also under Black Sheep), 100 Tula Para Kay Stella, and The Third Party among others. Unfortunately, those tidbits were all they gave us. They followed up by saying: “We’re SUPER stoked about this project pero yan pa lang ang machichika namin for now. Stay tuned, mga baba! #BabaBlackSheep”
