LOOK: Bohemian Rhapsody wins big at the Golden Globes!

When Bryan Singer’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” came out in late 2018, it sparked such strong reactions from people. Whether you thought it whitewashed Freddie Mercury’s history or loved the focus on his career, the one thing we can all acknowledge was its impact on the audience.

This impact was highlighted in today’s 2019 Golden Globe Awards. “Bohemian Rhapsody” walked away with 2 of the major awards, making it one of the biggest winners of the night. Its first win came from the ‘Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama)’ category, with Rami Malek earning the title for his evocative performance as Freddie Mercury.

It then won the (arguably) most important award: Best Motion Picture (Drama). The entire cast and crew were awarded for the tale they masterfully spun about the life of one of the world’s most beloved performers.

If you haven’t seen the film yet, I think these two awards should be enough to convince you that it might just be worth your time. “Bohemian Rhapsody,” tells the tale of how Freddie Mercury and fellow band members Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon formed Queen, one of the most iconic bands in music history.
