I usually like my songs upbeat (specifically because emo songs make me sad) but after going to the Tiny Moving Parts concert, I realized it’s really not just the lyrics or the beats that set the message. It really has something more to do with the people playing it. You can twist the lyrics one way or the other, but the presentation really makes a difference.
I immediately became a fan after the concert. I guess it’s time for some change in music taste, anyway. Wondering which songs I loved the most?

This is so reminiscent of real life. Yeah, all the songs are like that, but there’s something in the way the rock stuff blended with the bleeding lyrics that makes all the difference. Plus, Dylan Mattheisen definitely rocks those high notes.

“I know it’s hard to let go”
The one that got away. All of a sudden what used to be your daily dose of oxygen is now out of reach. The only thing left are memories. That’s why it’s so hard to let go.
3. Feel Alive
“Wondering what it’s like on the other side”
This song is perfect when you’re on the road or just having a chill time with friends. It reminds us to not be so serious all the time and live our lives the best way that we can.

“Nothing will ever change”
If you only had 24 hours left to live, how would you spend it? This song talks about how the band wants to spend theirs. It talks about the importance of living your life to the fullest.

“I shrunk, you grew, I just can’t pretend.”
This is probably one of the best emo songs out there. Just listen to it. Tiny Moving Parts did a fantastic job with the trumpets. You might even say the song has that American Football vibe.
