Upcoming movie ‘Pinay Beauty’ (also known as She’s No White) stars Chai Fonacier where she plays the role of a Filipina woman obsessed with beauty – particularly, skin whitening.
Philstar also indicates that Miss Universe 2016 representative Maxine Medina will also be a part of the film, as well as Janus del Prado, Nico Antonio, Hannah Ledesma, Mariko Ledesma and Edgar Allan Guzman.
“Si Chai, gusto niyang magparetoke.
Ako yung apple of the eye dito ni Chai Fonacier. Ako yung tutulong sa kanya na maging maganda. Gagawin ko lahat para sa kanya,” Guzman shares to Philstar.
(Rough translation: Chai (her character) wants to have plastic surgery. I’m the apple of the eye of Chai in this film. I help her “become beautiful”. My character would everything for her.)
The Cebuana award-winning actress is also known for her role in “Patay Na Si Hesus” and will also be starring in an ABS-CBN teleserye, as indicated by Philstar.
The movie is set to premiere on August 15, as an entry to the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino this year. The film is directed by Jay Abello.
