Aside from being known for being the Master of Stunts in films, Jackie Chan is also known for being a jolly and kind-hearted fellow–even in the roles that he portray! It’s always so rare to see him in anti-hero roles or playing dark and violent characters.
This is why it’s exciting to see Jackie Chan play a father with a mission for vengeance in the first trailer for The Foreigner.

In this action film, Jackie Chan is a father whose daughter has been killed by a terrorist bombing attack. After being blown off by the police after several attempts of asking for help to find the bombers, Jackie’s character decides to take matters into his own hands.
Jackie actually goes against Pierce Brosban who plays the government official that may have been in on the attack.

It’s really strange to see Jackie Chan in such a role, but we’re not saying it doesn’t work because it totally does!
If anything, the trailer for The Foreigner just proves how Jackie Chan can pretty much slay any action role. And even now that he’s 60 plus years old, he can still beat up bad guys like the badass he truly is.
The Foreigner is set to premiere in October this year, and we can’t wait to see Jackie Chan back on the big screen!
