Christmas is the season of giving, as they say.
But it looks like only a few pet lovers are exercising this act this year based on Philippine Animal Rescue Team’s post online. On a Facebook status, the organization said that not even one person showed up on their Christmas Cat Food Donation Drive at Quezon City Memorial Circle by 12:00 noon last Monday.
The animal welfare-concerned NGO is currently taking care of more than 500 homeless and rescued cats and dogs in their shelter in Bulacan which is why they really need donations, both in cash and in kind.
Shortly after the post has been up, a few concerned citizens dropped by their booth and donated which made the team and the cats happy. According to them, “A little food and some clean water will go a long way. Share your blessings, if not your home.”
