How To Know If Your Cat Loves You

Cats have a reputation of being moody creatures, but when they want to show you their love, they can be very affectionate. Here are just some of the telltale signs that your feline friend will stick with you for life.

5. They bring you today’s “present”.

Cats are predators by nature, and they are always on the prowl for their next hunt. When they show you their latest kill, be it a rodent or a bird, they’re offering their “prize” to you and showing off their ability.

4. They nibble at your skin.

I’ve heard many of my cat-owning friends narrate their own cat-biting stories, and as long as it’s done playfully, it’s to show affection. Kind of like their version of gigil.

3. Your cat stays close to you.

Cats like to linger around their owners, often going in and out of their legs which can even make their owners trip.

2. Their tail flips up.

Similar to dogs, you can tell a lot about a cat’s disposition by their tail.

When their tail flips up, they’re happy to have you around.

1. They purr in your presence.

There’s a satisfied, quiet purr that cats emit when they’re happy. It’s not difficult to figure out what that sounds like.
