Every fellow toy lover reading this, get ready as TOYCON 2015 is almost upon us. In just a few more days, SM Mega Mall’s Mega Trade Halls will once again transform into the ultimate toy haven for people like us who live, breathe and love all things toy-related. Things are even bigger and better this year as iflix enters partnership with TOYCON 2015 for a weekend of pop culture, giveaways, special cosplay awards and more.
That’s right. iflix, Southeast Asia’s leading internet TV service, offering subscribers unlimited access to thousands of hours of entertainment for a low monthly price, has signed on as a co-presenter of the 2015 Philippine TOYCON.
Now on its 14th year, the Philippine TOYCON is Asia’s biggest hobbies and collectibles convention. With “Battlegrounds of Play” being the theme of this year’s event, the Philippine TOYCON aims to bring out the inner child in every attendee through a celebration of toys, gaming, comics, anime, and more. This year’s highlights include a grand DC Comics exhibit from Pacific Licensing, previews of upcoming films from Universal Pictures, and a hands-on experience with the iflix platform for all attendees.
As co-presenters of the event, iflix will bring the entertainment revolution to TOYCON. Throughout the event, trial subscriptions and special gifts from iflix will be given out to attendees. An iflix booth will be set up to allow people to sign up for the service, as well as to showcase its thousands of hours of TV and movie content such as Arrow, Sherlock, Dr. Who, Batman Begins, Watchmen, Iron Man, Thor, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
iflix will also be giving out special awards during the TOYCON Cosplay Competition. En-trants dressed up as characters from TV shows or movies shown on iflix who join the individual, group, and kiddie competitions could win cash prizes up to PHP 20,000 and 1-year subscriptions to iflix.
