Sole to Soul: Company of One, Miriam College Dance Troupe Benefit Concert
“Rest well, because tonight Company of ONE became HEROES,” Miss Bernadette Palo of HERO Foundation, Inc. told the team after their successful benefit dance concert last February 2013 entitled HEROES.
This year, Company of ONE – the official dance troupe of Miriam College, is back with another benefit dance concert entitled, Sole to Soul. This event is OPEN TO ALL and will be held on the 15th of August 2014, Friday, 6PM at the Miriam College Marian Auditorium for only Php 150. Ticket selling starts on August 4, 2014 (Monday). Tickets will be sold at the venue on the concert day itself as well. A part of the concert’s proceeds will be given to their chosen beneficiary, HERO Foundation, Inc. – Helping send our fallen heroes’ children to school.

Last year’s dance concert focused on the stories of our country’s soldiers and their families as well as the background of their chosen beneficiary, HERO Foundation, Inc. Despite the fact that HERO Foundation Inc. will remain their sole beneficiary, this time, the team is ready to tell a whole other story.
“We’ve gone through so much in the past two years. There has been so many changes. HERO Foundation, Inc. was a part of that change… We’ve worked thrice as hard, working as a team – committing ourselves to His standards of excellence. We’ve got a long way to go, but as long as we have Him as our foundation, we know nothing is impossible.” Says the former and current officers of Company of ONE. “This year is all about even bigger changes and taking a whole lot of risks.”
From participating in numerous competitions to winning 2nd place at this year’s Dancelebration and being hailed as one of the top 5 organizations in Miriam College, indeed, the team is ready to take on more challenges. Being in it for the experience the team is one in saying that dancing with a team – a family like theirs is the greatest gift of all. To grow as one, to learn as one, to dance as one, to have the same passion and goal is already a win in itself for them. “The gift of being able to dance with a family like this is already a great blessing, winning is just a bonus.”
This time, the team is excited to show everyone what they have been working on for the past few months. Celebrate the gift of dance with the ladies of Company of ONE on August 15!
