Wheelchair-Dancing Duo Gets Golden Buzzer on Pilipinas Got Talent

Pilipinas Got Talent is back on the small screen, which means that we’re treated once again to some awe-inspiring local talent!

And on the latest update of memorable talents to watch out for this year, a dancing duo — with one of them bound to a wheelchair — just received the Golden Buzzer from judge Angel Locsin, which means that the team will be heading straight to the semi-finals.

Julius, who is paralyzed from the waist down, and Rhea, who auditioned in Cebu, performed a moving slow dance number, proving that disability does not have to get in the way of real talent.

After their performance, Robin said:

“Isang karangalan ng Pilipinas Got Talent na nag-audition kayo dito. Tuwang iikot ka nakikita ko yung bandera ng Pilipinas sa likod mo.” (It is Pilipinas Got Talent’s honor to have you audition here. With every turn you make, I can see the Philippine flag behind you.)

Meanwhile, Vice had this to offer:

“Sa buhay kong ‘to, ilang taon na ako. Wala akong nakitang unconditional love. Pero sa’yo ako nakakita ng unconditional talent.” (Throughout my life, at my age, I have not seen unconditional love. But with you, I have seen unconditional talent.)

Angel, who eventually pressed the golden buzzer for them, said:

“Napaka-graceful nyong dalawa. At maraming salamat at binigyan nyo kami ng oportunidad na mapanood kayo live.” (You are both so graceful. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to watch your performance live.)
