Jeepney drivers have been stereotyped as aggressive drivers in the streets of Manila. In fact, we often see them drive like crazy, swerve, and drop off passengers anytime, anywhere, they want to. In short, “hari sila ng kalsada.” (King of the road)
Jeepney is Philippines’ ubiquitous symbol of culture and arts.
Frankly, we rarely meet Jeepney drivers who are kind and courteous, even though, most of the Jeepneys’ designs have the Bible verses in it.
Surprisingly enough, a netizen uploaded an amazing video of a Jeepney driver who will definitely change your perception.
The video was uploaded by Djhay Coralde on Facebook. As of this writing, the video has been shared more than 17,000 shares.
As described by Djhay, the Driver was so “active” in asking his passengers about the word of God. I watched it myself and I got surprised with what he said: “ang mga kabataan ngayon ay di na nagbabasa ng bibliya.” (The youngsters nowadays don’t read bible anymore.) Unlike his time, he had to read the Bible diligently.
Therefore, he used his knowledge in preaching Bible by asking trivial questions to his passengers.
