WATCH: 4 Pinoy Acts Dominate Asia’s Got Talent Grand Finals

It was amazing to see our kababayans perform on Asia’s Got Talent Grand Finals, which was held in Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

4 out of the 9 grand finalists were Pinoy acts where two were alumni of our local version of the talent show, “Pilipinas Got Talent.”

Classical singer Gerphil Flores, or popularly known as Fame Flores, joined Pilipinas Got Talent in 2010. Shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra even reached Pilipinas Got Talent’s grand finals in 2011.

In Asia’s Got Talent, El Gamma Penumbra’s performance for the grand finals has deeply moved the judges where Asian artist Anggun was even brought to tears after delivering her comments.

Anggun said, “Tonight you raised awareness on how important mother nature and animals are more than ever. Our job as entertainers, we are here to entertain people, but if you can — if we can raise — awareness on subjects that really, really matter, then that makes our jobs more noble.”

The shadow play group performed with silhouettes to send their message about poaching and climate change.
