Originally, Sherlock Holmes 3 was scheduled for a December 25, 2020 release. It’s scheduled to a later date on December 22, 2021, but its original slot would be going to another WB animated film instead.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law will be coming back to play their old roles for Sherlock Holmes 3. On the other hand, original director Guy Ritchie might not be part of this project. As of now, no director has been confirmed yet.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jude revealed some information about Sherlock Holmes.
Jude said, “We’re going to examine — since it’s been several years since we’ve seen them — and play up the fact that they haven’t seen each other for a long time either.”
