Just last month, Cavite vice governor Jolo Revilla accidentally shot himself in the chest while cleaning a gun. He was then put in intensive care at a private hospital in Muntinlupa, and he was discharged after a week after a successful operation where doctors drained the fluids from his chest and the wound was closed.
The media speculated whether it was accidental or a suicide attempt, but within a month, Jolo was back at work.
Earlier this month, his mother Lani Mercado said that she will be flying to the US with Jolo and his girlfriend Jodi Sta. Maria for a medical checkup.
During the family’s trip, they also made time to visit Manny Pacquiao, who is training for his match against Floyd Mayweather, already billed as the “fight of the century.”
The photo was shared by Eliza Rica Anderson on Facebook, and shows the family, along with friends, with Pacquiao at a gathering in Los Angeles last Friday.
