Qatar Airways Opens Newest Route from Manila to Pisa!
Last August 2, 2016, Qatar Airways, the National carrier of the State of Qatar, launched its newest flight from Manila to Pisa, Italy. Now, travelers from Manila can get to experience Italy’s enchanting Tuscany region with the new said route. To reach Pisa, passengers would have to fly around 9 hours from Manila to Doha, Qatar, then journey for another 6 hours from Doha to Pisa, Italy.

Yours truly was one of the 2 representatives from the Philippines who were fortunate to join this momentous inaugural flight along with other journalists and influencers from all around the world. It was then followed by a special 1 week trip around Tuscany (organized and sponsored by Qatar Airways and Tuscany Tourism) where we got to travel various cities like Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano and Siena to experience Tuscany’s rich culture, jaw-dropping medieval architecture, renaissance art and delightful food.

Aside from the launch of their Manila – Pisa route, Qatar Airways will also be launching more destinations this year like, Windhoek, Namibia (28 September), Helsinki, Finland (10 October), Sarajevo, and Bosnia (2 November).
Qatar Airways also recently won as World’s Best Business Class, Best Business Class Airline Lounge, and Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East awards at the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
