Priest on ‘Hoverboard’ NOT Suspended But Asked for Time Off

Priest Who Used Hoverboard in Mass was Suspended

Apparently, the priest who probably wanted to end a mass on livelier note by riding a “hoverboard” and drew attention even from international media like BBC, Time, and Mashable was NOT suspended. He asked for a time off instead.

According to a post from Inquirer.net, Fr. Albert San Jose, parish priest of Our lady of Miraculous Medal Parish in the City of Biñan, asked Laguna Bishop Buenaventura M. Famadico for some time off to avoid further misunderstanding for what has happened during the Christmas Eve mass when Fr. San Jose rode a “hoverboard” towards the end of the mass.

Fr. San Jose clarified that he was not suspended but it was him who asked for a break from his parish duties.

Fr. San Jose also apologized for whatever misterpretations that lead from his actions.

A hoverboard is a battery-operated device that transports a user from point A to point B. It was first seen in the science-fiction movie “Back to the Future II.” However, there are still discussions for the use of the term “hoverboard: with the device that we see these days since the one in the movie actually levitates (hovers) in the air and is not moved by wheels.
