Palace Declares May 9 as Special Non-Working Holiday

May 9, the day of the national and local elections has been declared as a special non-working holiday.

According to Proclamation No. 1254, s. 2016, May 9, 2016 is a special non-working holiday throughout the country. It is declared as a holiday to “enable the people to properly exercise their right of suffrage.”
