Pharmacy practice exerts a ubiquitous influence on health. Equipped with their skills and competencies, pharmacists contribute to the development of healthcare systems through their presence in diverse areas of practice as in the community and regulatory settings. Given this, health professionals and students alike are invited to the 4th Philippine Pharmacy Summit, with the theme “Game Changers: Pharmacists in Revolutionizing Philippine Health Care”.
The 4th Philippine Pharmacy Summit aims to be a venue for health leaders and key personalities to discuss the innovations and latest progress in various areas of the healthcare system, and emphasize how pharmacists can contribute to these areas and developments. It will be a one day program consisting of topics about Pharmaceutical Sciences Research in Philippine Pharmacy Education, Health Information Technology, Interprofessional Education, Health Regulation, Regulation of Pharmaceutical Promotion in the Philippines, and many more.
The Philippine Pharmacy Summit is an annual project of the University of the Philippines. This event serves as a platform for information exchange on drug research and discovery, and discussions on recent pharmaceutical trends and development while fostering camaraderie within the pharmacy community.
Pharmacists and pharmacy students alike are trained to have a comprehensive understanding of diseases and treatment, drug interactions, and organizational skills necessary in successfully practicing the profession in different settings. The Philippine Pharmacy Summit will serve as a venue to drive the pharmacists and students to realize their full potential in stitching together the fragments of today’s healthcare system.
