Why notebooks?
When Naldy was in college taking up Bachelor of Music Major in Composition at the University of Sto. Tomas, he had a hard time finding a notebook that was of good quality and affordable at the same time. The good ones were usually imported and thus pricey.
When he became a member of The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, he felt the need for it more than ever. Considering the wide network he had in the music industry, and while keeping in mind the need of fellow musicians for high quality, affordable and well-designed notebooks; he and his wife decided to design and produce their own. Â
How it started
The couple then collaborated on designs, marrying their ideas and resources together. Being a music arranger and also a member of The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, Naldy started designing the notebooks with the help of his wife inspired by different instruments in the Orchestra section.
Designing it was easy; producing it was something else. They had to find high quality and affordable materials to be able to produce music notebooks at par with imported ones. In May 2016, their hardwork paid off, as they were able to start selling premium quality music notebooks initially through their own network — their musician friends and Naldy’s colleagues. Word spread and they eventually got invited to set up booths at different music events, festivals and bazaars, such as UP College Week, Winds and Jazz Festival, Manila Guitarfest, and Manila International Bookfair, among others.
Their well-crafted artistically designed notebooks even caught the attention of celebrities who are now patrons of their product. Gary Valenciano, Jay Durias, Anna Fegi, Jon Santos,Lani Misalucha, and Mon Faustino, to name a few.

The music notebooks from HnH have been so helpful to the students and faculty at Brown Academy of Music. We use them for everything from the classroom with weekly exercises and music theory trainings to even on the stage as charts for the show. They have become an important part of our teaching system. Music notebooks come in a handy size of 6 x 8 inches, 120 pages, with a hardbound cover – priced at  P200. They also have a Music Notepad, 9 x 12 inches, with 60 pages, soft cover – priced at P140.  And soon, they will also have music scores available.Â
