Good news to those who are still going to work or running errands on June 12. Aside from the fact that our public transportation will not be fazed by the usual Monday madness with its crazy long lines and crowded trains, the three train lines, Light Rail Transit-1, LRT-2, and Metro Rail Transit-3 will be offering free rides as we all celebrate the 119th anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
The free rides will be available during the peak hours, from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning and from 5:00 to 7:00 in the evening. The announcements were made public via the transit and Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC)’s official social media pages.

Both the LRT and MRT annually gives free rides during Independence Day and other special holidays.
