Lasallian Youth Summit 2017 Aspires Youth Leadership Excellence

With the aim to make Lasallian leadership to be at the peak, it is about time to raise the standards. Approximately around 3,000 Lasallian students that are composed of 4th year and 5th year graduation students and student leaders from different councils and organizations from De La Salle University- Dasmarinas (DLSU-D) will be gathered for the Lasallian Youth Summit 2017 at the Ugnayang Las Salle on April 8.

 The Council of Student Organizations (CSO) in partnership with Junior Financial Executive of the Philippines (JFINEX) and The DLSU-D Communication and Media Society (COMMSOC) spearheads Lasallian Youth Summit 2017. Known leaders from different sectors in the country namely Br. Jose Mari Jimenez, FSC, President of De La Salle Philippines, Luzon Commissioner Percival Cendana of National Youth Commission, Senator Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel, and Mr. Anthony

Pangilinan will contribute knowledge regarding the four topics: Lasallian character, interpersonal skills, personal capabilities, and focus on the results. These are all in line with this year’s theme “Raising the Standards of Leadership.”

According to the CSO President Marj Adrias, LYS 2017 strives to empower the youth and learn to maximize the use of their potentials and ideas to excel in different fields as well as to contribute to the realization of the Lasallian mission as Lasallian leaders.

Moreover, LYS 2017 has involved event partners- Office of Student Services, the Government of City of Dasmarinas, John Robert Powers, Bangs Prime by Tony and Jackey, Kalibrr, YSA, Throb, The Cream Factory, ClickTheCity, WhenInManila.com, inquirer.net, adobo Magazine, Heraldo Filipino, and Mcdonald’s.
