In the middle of the issue of allegedly using the Philippine government’s helicopters to campaign for her bets for the upcoming elections, Kris Aquino posted on Instagram her tax contributions from 2008 to 2015. She also cited her ranking as tax contributor for the years she mentioned. For instance, in 2011, she was the number one taxpayer in the country.
According to news reports, the Malacañang defended Kris saying that “members of the President’s immediate family are allowed to ride with him in official government vehicles.”
She captioned her post with just the following hashtags:Â #TRUTH #HonestTaxpayer.
Based from the post, her contributions for the past eight years amounted to PhP 322,098,558.74.
Her post got mixed reactions. Some say that even if she is one of the top taxpayers in the country, that doesn’t mean she is entitled to use the President’s helicopter.
