Waitress is shaping up to have quite the interesting season!

The musical, whose music was written by none other than Sara Bareilles, will feature another music star who is going to shake up the pies on Broadway: Jason Mraz!
The singer-songwriter, who has also previously collaborated with Sara, will be making his Broadway debut in November when he stars in the show for 10 weeks as Dr. Pomatter, the love interest of Jessie, the main character in the show who decides to follow her dreams and join a pie-baking contest. The current cast stars Betsy Wolfe as Jenna.
Dr. Pomatter is the affable yet married doctor who helps Jenna change her outlook on life when they begin an affair.
Jason is no stranger to the music of Waitress — he recorded the songs “Bad Idea” and “You Matter to Me” on Sara’s 2015 album “What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress”.
