Flares and Flavors: The UP Journalism Club Exhibit Launch and Grand Pakain

For 58 years now, the UP Journalism Club (UPJC), the oldest organization based at the College of Mass Communication in the University of the Philippines Diliman, has been in the service of the college, the university and the Philippine society. Some of its notable alumni are Lynda Jumilla, Joseph Morong, and Malou Mangahas.

This year, the organization will launch its anniversary with the theme, Illuminate: Radiating Excellence at 58. Designed with light spectacles, this year’s exhibit will showcase the whole organization including its members and events. Free food will also be provided to the students, faculty, and staff as way of giving back to its home college. The Grand Launch will be held on January 9, 2013, 12 noon.

The UP Journalism Club will further its tradition of critical thought and action through its line up of activities this year which include: internship fair, documentary-making competition, educational tour, outreach program, Beat Talk, an election literacy campaign, sportsfest, the most awaited alumni homecoming and many more.
