ENTERTAINMENT: Mandy Moore admits being in love with Shane West during “A Walk To Remember”

A Walk To Remember reunion is our only hope to complete our feels for the movie! We couldn’t believe that the movie is now 16 years old, too. According to IMDB, the film premiered January 25, 2002.

To commemorate its 16-year anniversary premiere, main stars Mandy Moore and Shane West took their #feels on social media.

But there are more #feels for A Walk To Remember fans! Recently, Mandy Moore admitted to Entertainment Weekly about her feelings for her co-star during filming.

“Shane was so cool. Everything about him – the way he dressed, the little cigarettes that he smoked, and the music he listened to. He was the character to me and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him. I don’t know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, it was my first experience doing anything like this and I was a 16-year-old, impressionable girl. I was just so caught up in the moment and the experience. I absolutely walked away from that project so convinced that there would never be a project as special as that. Shane was so wonderful. I didn’t know what I was doing and he’d done movies and he was on a critically acclaimed TV show.He had a lot of respect as an actor and I was just the total newbie. I didn’t even know how to hit a mark, I was so fresh-faced and naïve. I felt incredibly lucky right off the bat that I had someone who was as willing to work with me and who was patient and understanding. He was just the perfect partner for that.”

The relationship between the two stars remains special to this day through the years.
