ENTERTAINMENT: Jason Mraz debuts in Broadway this November!

He sings. He dances. He steals things (well, not really.) He’s bound to perform in Broadway!

In a recent report by Broadway World, it has been announced that singer Jason Mraz will “join the company as Dr. Pomatter for a 10-week-run” for Broadway hit ‘Waitress’. The same website indicates that Mraz is “no stranger to the Grammy and Tony Award-nominated music from Waitress, having recorded “Bad Idea” and “You Matter To Me” with Sara Bareilles on her Top 10 album “What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress.”

The official Waitress YouTube channel announced Mraz’s participation through a video.

The show opened last April 24, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson theatre in New York City. It tells the tale of aspiring pie maker Jenna whose life is turned around with a baking contest and an offer by Mraz’s character, Dr. Pomatter. It celebrates ” friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie”.

‘Waitress’ will be touring the US starting at the Cleveland Playhouse this October.

We’re so excited for Jason! He’s definitely lucky! 😉
