If you haven’t heard it yet, yes, Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting a divorce.
Jolie filed for divorce on September 19th, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Brad Pitt has since released a statement as well, which you can read here: Brad Pit Speaks Out About Divorce from Angelina Jolie
As for Angelina, who is seeking sole physical custody of their six children, she released an official statement through her lawyers as well, stating the following:
“Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
Robert Offer, Jolie’s entertainment attorney shared the following statement: “Angelina has filed for dissolution of the marriage,” he said. “This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time.”
The couple first got together in 2005 and tied the knot in August 2014.
