A Second Chance Earns P100 Million in Just Three Days

We guess Filipinos do believe in forever, because A Second Chance reached the P100 million mark after three days.

A Second Chance is the sequel of 2007’s One More Chance, the blockbuster starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo as Popoy and Basha, an ex-couple who decides to give love another try. The film became a hit because of its honest portrayal of love and the line “She had me at my worst. You had me at my best. Pero binalewala mo lang yun. [You took it for granted]. You chose to break my heart.”

In A Second Chance, Popoy and Basha decide to get married, but trouble arises.

Even if the sequel came out after eight years, the film earned P43.3 million on its first day alone, proving that the couple’s story is timeless. It now holds the record for being one of the highest-grossing non-Metro Manila Film Festival film in Philippine history.

The film is directed by Cathy Garcia Molina.
