There are movies that make you cry and there are those that will make you laugh. The Lego Batman Movie can make you do both…at the same time! The characters may not have been portrayed by real humans, but their extraordinary candor and the reality of their expressions and conversations filled Resorts World Manila’s cinema with laughter.

The movie is packed with surprises like guest villains, brutal truths, throwback batman scenes, and songs that will make your head bang inevitably. The Lego Batman Movie was undeniably hilarious, but ultimately, it wasn’t all just fun and games. While laughing my night away, I learned a few life lessons and realizations I honestly didn’t expect to get from this movie. #RealTalk
Even the seemingly successful people feel lonely.
After a long day of fighting crimes and saving Gotham City, the movie shows the reality that our superhero still feels empty, incomplete, and afraid of opening up his life and becoming part of a family. I guess life isn’t always about fame and fortune.
Define your relationships
Assuming a relationship status could be confusing, paralyzing, and could lead to huge trouble (ouch!), whether that’s a relationship with someone you love and value as a friend or family, or a relationship with your archenemy.
It’s not always about only one person.
Surprise! Even if you try to save the world from all crimes, you still won’t be the center of the universe, and that’s just humbling. Most of us are like Batman in this movie: scarred, isolated, and so full of ourselves. But maybe it’s time to break walls, build bridges, and start acknowledging that it’s not always about us because on the other side of the coin is the fact that we need people to support, encourage, and face the villainy things in this world. Teamwork is the heart of this movie!

The Lego Batman Movie reminds us to show some love to the people we value, like our families, before it’s too late. And family doesn’t have to be blood bound!

Batman has sick beats.
From start to finish, the subtle thought in my mind was this: “What?!? Batman is a singer and a beatboxer???” My movie seatmates can testify that I couldn’t stop myself from “moving with the beat” (because I don’t dance hehe). You’ll find out if he’ll pass as a rockstar when you watch the movie!
If you love laughing in the cinema with your friends, family, or kids, you will definitely enjoy The Lego Batman Movie! With an entertaining mix of candor, comedy, and heart-wrenching life lessons, this movie will take you through the spectrum of all emotions. There’s a lot of bonuses for you if you’re a Batman fan and are familiar with a lot of other villains from and outside DC!
