3 TV Shows to Look Forward to This 2017

Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Stranger Things – you name it. These are most people’s favorite shows and fans are dying to watch the next seasons. The aforementioned shows aren’t set to return until mid-2017, though, so that will still take some time. Luckily, you don’t have to wish for a fast-forward remote because tons of other interesting new series are airing this year, ranging from horror to drama to action to romance.

In the meantime, you might want to check out some of these shows that caught our attention to stop your inner couch potato from being idle.

3 TV Shows to Look Forward to This 2017

3. Riverdale – Drama/Mystery

Does the title sounds familiar? That’s because it’s the town of our childhood comic favorite, Archie Andrews! Yes, Archie and the gang are finally coming to life in this The CW series. Don’t expect it to be as bright and cheerful as the comic version of old, though. This series will depict a darker side of Riverdale, focusing on the unexpected murder of Cheryl Blossom’s brother.

Who could possibly be the killer? Is Archie as good as we make him out to be? Will the answer to #TeamBetty or #TeamVeronica be shown in the finale? We just have to watch to find out.

Premiering January 26, 2017.

2. A Series of Unfortunate Events – Adventure/Family

Based on the 13 novels written by Lemony Snicket, Netflix will once again present a show with terrific cinematography that can be compared to some Wes Anderson films. This series follows the lives of three orphans– Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire – as their eccentric guardian Count Olaf (played by Neil Patrick Harris) attempts to steal the big sum of inheritance left by their parents.

Expect a lot of laughs, a bit of drama, and a whole lot of adventure for these three kids.

Premiering January 13, 2017.

1. Powerless – Action/Comedy

In this light and almost-action-filled-but-not-quite show, Vanessa Hudgens will play Emily Locke, someone who hopes to prove that you don’t really need superpowers to be a hero. Locke and her officemates set to protect the welfare of the civilians in the DC universe in completely normal human ways.

Numerous DC heroes will be featured in Powerless, so expect a lot of cross-overs with other NBC superhero series.

Premiering February 2, 2017.

Excited? So are we! 2017 might looks to be a good year for TV shows. To be fair, though, let’s not expect too much because we might get disappointed in the end. We can only wait and see if they really are worth raving about.

Among the three, which one are you excited for the most? Do you have any good series suggestions that will premiere this year? Are you on #TeamBetty or #TeamVeronica? Let us know your thoughts!
