Filipino Developer Offers Free Usage of Mobile App to Help Groceries and Pharmacies Receive Orders Online

A Filipino developer is offering for free the use of his mobile app to supermarkets and pharmacies to allow them to receive orders online and help prevent crowding and long lines at their establishments.

The app, Storefront by QFri, is a yet to be launched Software-as-a-Service product in the Philippines wherein customers can place orders instead of heading directly to their chosen store.

“With the threat of COVID-19 already in our shores and the need for social distancing, we are offering our platform for free to stores and pharmacies during the duration of the crisis. The platform enables stores to receive orders for pick-up and customers to order ahead to avoid crowds and lines to get their necessities,” said Fritzgheven Duco, the developer of this platform.

“Since QFri is a bootstrapped startup with very limited resources, we are uncertain that we can keep the service up and running for the duration of the crisis. However, as long as we are able to afford to keep the service up and running, we will do so,” he clarified.

For supermarkets and pharmacies interested, please reach out to Fritzgheven Duco through fritzgheven@gmail.com so that you can set-up your online stores.
