Veteran actor Mon Confiado will never not surprise us with all the roles he’s been chosen to play onscreen, and the subsequent physical transformations he makes precisely for those roles.
On his Facebook account, Mon shared a big collage of his many selfies wearing different makeup and costumes through the years. “I may often be asked to play characters who are all not like me,” he wrote. “The Many Faces of Me.”
In a separate post, he gave a quick visual lesson to fans and followers about the “universal microexpressions” by sharing screenshots of himself in films wearing them.
“When we feel an intense emotion, that emotion reveals itself on our face. The seven universal microexpressions are: Disgust, Anger, Fear, Sadness, Happiness, Surprise, [and] Contempt.”
Mon has previously admitted his need to change his look to get into character. “It’s helpful not to look like yourself. If I look in the mirror and that doesn’t look like me, that’s helpful,” he shared. And he does a marvelous job at it!
