The famous lead star of the hit TV series Glee, Cory Monteith was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday, July 13.
Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson in the musical TV series Glee checked in at the Fairmount Pacific Rim Hotel last July 6 and was expected to check out on Saturday, July 13. After missing his check out time, the hotel staff when up to his room on the 21st floor only to find his lifeless body on the ground.
According to reports, Cory had already been dead for several hours before his body was found. However, no foul play was suspected and Cory might have died after an apparent drug overdose. This however has not yet been confirmed and his body is scheduled for an autopsy on Monday.
Cory had admitted struggling with drugs last April and had already began his rehabilitation.He admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance abuse hoping to recover on his own. Co-star and real life girlfriend Lea Michelle says she was proud that Cory decided to seek help.

A statement on Glee’s official fanpage was released earlier today in behalf of Glee executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company:
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”
His death is truly a great loss. Rest in peace Cory! You would be missed! For what it’s worth, I hope YOU had the time of your life!
