Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi are starring in a new upcoming romantic comedy series based on a Wattpad novel, “Love At First Read.”
Kyline and Mavy will be portraying the characters Angelica de Makapili and Kudos Pereseo respectively in this story written by Chixnita about a boy who stumbles upon a diary and starts to believe that the owner is his one true love.
“Parang may mga destiny… fate type of vibe,” Kyline shares in an exclusive interview with WhenInManila.com during the intimate launch of Avon’s Simply Pretty line with her as the newest Avon ambassador.

“Si Angelica dito, medyo boyish, medyo anti-boys kasi sa mga pinagdaanan niya in the past. May inner child siya na kailanga niyang i-heal, and with the help of Kudos, she will heal that inner child.”
“Love At First Read” was first reported to have started taping on April 20, 2023, on GMA Network evening news program 24Oras.
“Taping for ‘Love At First Read’ was really light kasi lahat kami bagets doon. May mga senior [actors] naman kaming kasama katulad nina miss Jackie [Lou Blanco], miss Maricar [de Mesa], sir Jestoni [Alarcon]… it’s really light and it’s definitely not hard and in all honesty wala kaming naging issue sa cast kasi tinutulungan namin yung isa’t isa na umangat sa bawat character na ginagawa namin. We allow each other to give constructive criticism sa acting na ginagawa namin. Nagbibigay kami ng advice sa isa’t isa. It’s really like that,” Kyline adds.
“I’m confident na maganda yung magiging kalabasan ng ‘Love At First Read’ kasi lahat po talaga namin to pinagtrabahuan, pero ang prayer ko na lang and I’m really hoping na sana magustuhan din po iyon ng audience, ng mga Kapuso kasi eto pong ‘Love At First Read’ it’s really for all generations. For sure lahat makaka-relate sa ‘Love At First Read.’”

The series also stars young actors Josh Ford and Pam Prinster who will play the characters Train and Hazel respectively.
It has yet to be announced when and which platform it will premiere.
Kyline and Mavy last starred in the GMA digital series “Zero Kilometers Away.”
