Selena Gomez Calls Out Online Bullies, Hailey Bieber Thanks Her

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber want to end their alleged feud once and for all. Fans have long speculated bad blood between the two as Hailey is married to Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Apparently, there had been rumors that Hailey “stole” Justin from Selena. This is because Selena and Justin dated publicly on and off from 2010 to 2017 before Hailey and Justin got engaged in 2018 and eventually tied the knot a few months later. Although in a podcast last September, Hailey clarified that Justin “was not ever in a relationship, ever at any point” when they started being romantically involved.

Hailey also first spoke up in the podcast about the hate she has received from some of Selena’s fans ever since. Selena later addressed the matter on TikTok saying, “It’s not fair because no one should ever be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen.”

In October last year, Hailey and Selena were even spotted at the Academy Museum Gala where they were captured together by photographer Tyrell Hampton.

Nevertheless, the online community continued to suggest that Selena and Hailey (along with her friend Kylie Jenner) are throwing shade at each other on social media.

Now, Hailey has reached out to Selena, particularly regarding the threats and hateful comments. This was revealed in an Instagram Story by Selena on Friday where she wrote, “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity.”

“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying,” Selena reminded her fans. “I’ve always advocated
for kindness and really want this all to stop.”

Hailey followed Selena’s post thanking her for speaking up once again. “Her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative,” she added.

“The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful,” Hailey pointed out. “While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together. Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including [me].”

She concluded, “In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.”
