The Miss Universe Philippines is about to crown its next queen on April 30, 2020, and she will be the first to wear the pageant’s new crown, designed in collaboration with Jewelmer.
On Facebook, the organization said, “The Miss Universe Philippines Organization and Jewelmer are ultimately proud to finally present the La Mer En Majesté Crown! One of our #UniquelyBeautiful queens will wear this symbol of elegance and majesty at The Coronation on April 30 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena!”
In a separate post, it said, “There is a mysterious fascination with the sea’s waves and its continuous ebb and flow, perpetually radiating infinite power and magnificent generosity.”
It adds, “Through meaningful discoveries and explorations of her vibrant splendor, we have learned from the sea’s enchanting depths.
And over time, the sea reveals her secrets. She gifts us with something phenomenal, something uniquely beautiful: The National Gem of the Philippines, the golden South Sea pearl—a radiant symbol of the harmonious relationship between man and nature, capturing the very spirit of the Filipinos.

This year’s pageant will feature 32 women who will compete for the title of Miss Universe Philippines and represent the country in the global competition. If she wins, she will follow in the footsteps of Miss Universe winners Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray.
The national pageant is set to be star-studded, counting Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach from the Philippines, Demi-Leigh Tebow from South Africa, and Iris Mittenaere from France as its hosts. Reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu from India will be one of the judges.
