The premiere of Heart Evangelista’s newest television soap, “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon,” is just around the corner, but will it also signal the end of the fashion icon’s stint as a teleserye actress?
In a tweet she posted last November 5, Heart revealed to fans and followers that the upcoming show may be the last one she’ll ever do but assured everyone that it’s not a certainty.
“Just saw our official trailer for #ILeftMyHeartInSorsogon. [It’s] not yet out but just wanna say thank you ngayon palang sa lahat ng (right now to all the) crew, actors and staff,” she began in her tweet.
“[It] might be my last soap (never say never) but I had the best time ever,” she added. “That was my 101%!”
A fan quickly expressed their dismay upon reading Heart’s statement. “What? Last soap? Wag naman. Ma mimiss ka namin. Iba [pa] rin yung nakikita ka namin na umaarte kesa sa vlogs lang (What? Last soap? Hopefully not. We will miss you. It’s different when we watch you act instead of just doing vlogs),” the fan wrote.
Heart then quote retweeted the comment and said, “Might need to focus on other special moments in life.”

Heart’s last teleserye prior to her acting break was “My Korean Jagiya” directed by Mark A. Reyes for GMA Network which ran from 2017 to 2018.
“I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” was directed by Mark Sicat Dela Cruz and will begin airing on November 15, 2021. Heart plays the character Celeste, a young socialite who becomes a successful fashion designer in Manila. She will star alongside Paolo Contis who plays Mikoy, Celeste’s ex-boyfriend whom she runs into after flying home to Sorsogon to take care of family matters, and Richard Yap who plays Tonito Wenceslao III, Celeste’s current boyfriend.
The series will also feature Kyline Alcantara, Mavy Legaspi, Michelle Dee, Elizabeth Oropesa, Rey Abellana, Shamaine Buencamino, Aubrey Miles, and Marina Benepayo.
