Kim Chiu has finally responded to rumors that have surfaced on social media the past week about her leaving noontime show “It’s Showtime” which she has been hosting regularly for a year.
The rumors began when fans noticed that Kim, although present on the show, was not hosting her usual segments. What further fueled the gossip was Kim’s cryptic Instagram story at the time that contained a message about being “taken for granted.”
“As a Taurus, you are often taken for granted due to your very kind and sensible nature. You aren’t likely to reverse a decision,” her post read.
Xian was also seen sharing that story and writing a message of support for his girlfriend. “Never dim your light for the sake of others my love. In this lifetime, all we have is our self-worth. Don’t let anyone take that away from you,” he said. “You are loved by millions. Keep moving forward.”
A lot of fans thought that this meant that the rumors were true, considering the coincidental timing of the public posts. Kim, however, finally broke her silence on the issue during a live episode that aired last Friday.
During the “Madlang Pi-Poll” segment, Kim was asked to share one fake news that has been made about her. “Tatanggalin daw ako dito,” she answered while laughing. “Araw-araw kasi ‘yun, e. Ang sakit din sa ulo.”
[“I was told I’ll be removed from this show. It’s being said every day, and it gets annoying.”]
She also seemed to have returned to hosting her segments, “Reina ng Tahanan” and “Madlang Pi-Poll.”
