Ellen Adarna Breaks Silence on “Walk Out” Issue During Taping

Ellen Adarna has broken her silence to defend herself from allegations about her “unprofessionalism” following the news that she walked out of the set of her television show, “John En Ellen,” during its last taping day.

According to Ellen, she was merely concerned for her health and safety after the taping allegedly extended past the cutoff time promised to her by the directors.

“There is what [you] call the LAW and IATF protocols and because of covid, it must be strictly implemented,” she began in an Instagram comment in response to a fan questioning her about the issue. “I know my rights and before you say and assume, know your rights too so you can set limits and boundaries ([it’s] good and healthy for you).

“Violating IATF protocols and stripping me of my rights is unprofessional and unethical. I was promised a cutoff and even I extended it for another hour para walang masabi [so that they don’t complain] (I have receipts to prove this too) I guess someone [wasn’t] informed of some crucial information,” she continued.

Tagging director Willy Cuevas, Ellen added: “I think [it’s] just right to honour your word and [don’t] make promises you [can’t] keep. Bottom line, we just have different priorities and my health and safety is # 1.”

Prior to this, Ellen’s manager released a statement to confirm that Ellen will not be returning to “John En Ellen” but denied that it had anything to do with supposed “attitude problems.” Ellen’s costar John Estrada also defended her, saying that, to his understanding, Ellen simply was done for the day and left.

Their other costar Long Mejia, however, confirmed to PEP.ph that the unceremonious walkout did happen that left the cast and crew hanging. He also hopes that Ellen issues an apology soon.
