Actors Enchong Dee and Joshua Garcia just partnered up to open a music school in the Philippines!

Called the Academy of Rock, this new music school is introduced as the Philippine counterpart to the same school based in Singapore that launched in 2007. It will be dedicated to teaching Filipinos popular music education and helping them flourish in their field.
Enchong was the first to announce this new venture last April 2021 through an Instagram post.
“I always equate education to empowerment. Kapag may kaalaman ang isang mamayan mas malayo ang naabot na mga pangarap [If you are more educated, you can go much farther to reach your dreams],” he wrote at the time.
“It’s been a dream to open up my own school, and so I’m proud to announce that my partners and I are opening Academy of Rock Philippines, a totally different team from the former. This is one of the few businesses that I will personally supervise to make sure that the quality of music education will be at par with our Singaporean counterpart,” he added.
According to a report on Inquirer, the two actors also teamed up with music producers Jonathan Manalo and Rox Santos, visual artist and missionary Kristine Lim, producer, director, and entrepreneur Benedict Mariategue, and businessmen Jacinto Lee Gan Jr. to bring this school to life.
Academy of Rock Philippines will officially open on July 18. It will be located at 19 Scout Borromeo, Quezon City.
