PNP Rolls Out Community Pantry-like Program Called ‘Barangayanihan’

Community Pantries are extending help to our fellow Filipinos who are having a hard time during the pandemic and the Philippine National Police or PNP is now rolling out their own initiative called “Barangayanihan”.

According to Cagayan De Oro spokesperson Lt. Col. Joel Nacua in a phone call with Philstar.com, the police in the area are required to set up their own ‘Barangayanihan’ or community pantries that will run until May 2021.

The Quezon City Police District held a KYUSIna ng Bayan program where they gave free hot meals in 33 barangays or up to 6,365 Quezon City citizens and it is a part of the PNP Barangayanihan efforts.
