LOOK: A Gaming Company Formed a Scannable QR Code in the Sky With Drones

Talk about bad-ass marketing! The gaming company Bilibili recently sent 1,500 drones into the sky recently as part of their first anniversary celebration for the role-playing game (RPG) ‘Princess Connect! Re: Dive’. The drones took flight at Shanghai’s the Bund and formed into a QR code in a sky that people could scan to get to Bilibili’s website.

Video game enthusiast Daniel Ahmad tweeted about it and shared photos on his Twitter account @ZhugeEX and it looks so cool.

Daniel also shared that this advertising tactic was similar to what Bilibili had done when the game was launched last year. That time, however, they put up a huge QR code on the side of their building, which people could also scan. Doing so brought them to the game’s download page – definitely an attention-grabbing stunt!
