E-Gilas Pilipinas reclaims their status as the number 1 team in Southeast Asia after beating Indonesia at the FIBA Esports Open III tonight. The Filipino esports team denied their rival’s attempt at winning after ending the best-of-three grand finals this evening with 2-0.

Angelico “Shintarou” Cruzin was crowned MVP for his performance. Shintarou sealed Game 1 with a three-pointer that led them to a 60-53 win and dictated the pace of Game 2 for his team with an unstoppable tandem with Philippe “Izzo” Herrero IV. Their defense secured the throne with a 44-36 victory, making E-Gilas Pilipinas a two-time FIBA Esports Open III Southeast Asia Conference champion.
